Bespoke ayurveda Retreats in Wales - uk
Our bespoke retreats, tailor made for small groups or individuals, currently take place in beautiful, picturesque Pembrokeshire in south west Wales. These unique retreats provide highly individualised Ayurvedic treatments and enable our practitioners to concentrate solely on you. This is how Ayurveda was traditionally practiced, on a one to basis between patient and therapist. The aim is to find out as much about you as possible, to formulate treatments especially for you and to teach you ways to stay healthy.
We have chosen Newport in Pembrokeshire because it is a place of incredible beauty and well known for its beautiful walks. You can walk along the coastal path which stretches for 187 miles and has amazing views and wild flowers. Other walks in Newport are by the estuary which is known by bird watchers for its variety of birds, up Carningli or Angel Mountain, along stretches of sandy beaches and into beautiful ancient forests. If you are really lucky you can see dolphins and seals playing just off the coast line. Nearby are interesting towns like St. David’s with its amazing cathedral and Narbeth, a little town noted for its individuality. So not only do you learn to be healthy but you have stunning natural beauty surrounding you and Ayurveda teaches us that contact with the natural world is extremely important for our own well being.

Your bespoke retreat would include the following:
- An in depth consultation - we look at past and present problems, what health problems you want to rectify, defining your natal constitution or prakruti and your present imbalances or vikruti.
- Dietary and lifestyle advice - we suggest that you do a week’s food dairy prior to arriving and then we will spend time working out the most effective Ayurvedic diet for you. Your lifestyle would also be analysed and suggestions to change this would be made.
- Massage using warm oils and heat or steam - a schedule of treatments is worked out that is the most appropriate for you.
- Other therapies – we decide which are the most appropriate for you and these may include Shirodhara, udvartana, panda svedana and nasya to name just a few
- Yoga – a regular asana (posture) practice is an important aspect of any Ayurvedic regime. Depending upon your level of experience or knowledge and your constitution, we will work with you to develop a practice that meets your unique needs.
